General Bicycles (1982 - 1990) was founded in New Jersey in 1982. The company was purely focussed on freestyle BMX. In 1986 Fred blood and Craig Grasso join the General Freestyle Team and the company launch it's first bike - but at that time, no-one cared. It wasn't until the following year (1987) when RL Osborn announces he's leaving Redline and signing with General. Within months General becomes one of the hottest freestyle BMX companies on the planet. But General's time at the top was short-lived, ending in 1990.
