The Mini Californian is a custom made competition racing bicycle for the growing racer. It is specially designed and handcrafted with Chromoly tubing. Much like its older brother, the Californian Pro, the Mini Californian has high-tech components like: a quick change alloy spyder with 43T sprocket, a Mongoose narrow racing stem, a high performance brakes, an exclusive Mongoose 20x1 1/8 ultra light skin side tires, a Mongoose designed 20x1 1/8 alloy rims, and a full pad set.

The first two numbers in the serial indicates year of production. 89 = 1989, 90 = 1990. The third and fourth numbers (as shown in the examples above) indicate production Month. Bikes made in Taiwan usually had an 6-9 month production and shipping timeline before they were sold in bike shops around the world. In May of any year, factories would usually switch production to making models for the following year.
