Our most popular Mongoose is built around our exclusive Monostay chasis with a 4130 chromoly mainframe and chromoly forks. The 1991 Mongoose Expert Comp features Mongoose's revolutionary new padded Kraton stem--a boon to anyone who's ever bashed their knee on a regular gooseneck. Stopping the Expert Comp is easy, thanks to its Dia-Compe Bulldog brakes and Tech-3 alloy lever. Other race-ready features include a set of Araya MP-20 alloy rims with Mongoose skinwall tires, new Mongoose composite pedals, a quick-change alloy chainring, and a supertough Velo saddle.

Mid School Serial Guide

Bikes made in Taiwan usually had an 6-9 month production and shipping timeline before they were sold in bike shops around the world. In May of any year, factories would usually switch production to making models for the following year.
