The 1986 Mongoose Californian is a fully equipped bicycle for the up-and-coming BMX racer or any performance-minded rider who appreciates quality and performance. Available in 1986 in a new White-Out finish or in brilliant high gloss chrome with black accessories. Either version features famous Mongoose Heliarc welded construction with extra large Triple Butted 4130 chromoly top and down tubes and 1" tubular chromoly fork legs. Like the more expensive Rupe Edition, the Californian is performance equipped with Pro Class Series III hard anodized wheels. Oro Class Power Plate and the new high torque Pro Class Tubular Cranks, The standard Californian model features SR Cosmolite Heat Treated Boron Steel cranks.
