Eric Rupe Signature Edition

The 1986 Mongoose Eric Rupe Signature Edition is Mongoose's finest 20" bicycle model. It is a production version of the Factory Works Bike that Eric Rupe piloted to two consecutive National #1 Pro Titles in the NBL (National Bicycle League). For 1986, the Rupe bike features Triple Butted 4130 chromoly tubing which reduces weight to an absolute minimum while maintaining all important strength, rigidity and reliability. The responsive handling requirements of advanced riders are met by the precise frame geometry which provides more ground clearance and more knee room than any other Mongoose frame. Equipped with premium racing components, which include Pro Class Series Ill hard anodized wheels, sealed bearing hubs, Pro Class Tubular Chromoly Cranks and the patented quick-change Pro Class Plate for quick gearing changes. The Eric Rupe Signature Edition frame is finished in bright, mirror-polished chrome plating and trimmed with black and chrome components. A frame and fork set is also available separately for custom building.
