Race
The 1987 Mongoose Californian, is a fully equipped machine designed for serious riding. The Californian features the race proven reliability of an all chromoly frame with Triple Butted Main Tubes and a heliarc welded 1" tubular chromoly fork. The track tested geometry gives you lightning quick starts and precise control, on or off the track. Everything about the Californian is no nonsense performance. From the Pro Class chromoly handlebars, wide profiled for greater pulling leverage to the 175mm Boron Steel cranks heat treated for maximum torque transfer. The patented Pro Class Series III hard anodized wheels with sealed mechanism hubs are stronger and lighter for better acceleration and handling. The Californian even comes with a complete set of Mongoose Safety Pads. The Californian is available in Classic Chrome or a Black Euro version.
