The fourth number in the serial sequence indicates the year of production. This is either 1995 or 1996. The fifth digit in the serial examples above indicates production Month. Late 1995 made bikes have a letter E to L - which stand for May to Dec. Early 1996 made bikes have a letter A to D - which stand for Jan to April.
Bikes made in Taiwan usually had an 8 month production and shipping timeline before they were sold in bike shops around the world. In May of any year, factories would usually switch production to making models for the following year.
