S&M Bikes was started by friends Greg Swingrover and Chris Moeller in mid 1987. The S and M taken from the first letter in their surnames. S&M Bikes are one of only a BMX compaines that still around that span the three era's of BMX - old school, mid school, and new school. Though one could argue that their bikes were 100% mid-school even before the eara began. S&M Bikes were and still are proudly hand-made in the USA and are known for their ability to take the abuse the founders and their friends could throw at them. Since 1990 Chris Moeller has been at the wheel of the company - ensuring the orginal ideas and philosophies of "making bikes their way" - is still every part of what S&M Bikes stand for today.
