Due to the rise of BMX in the late 70's and early 80's bike riding and therefore bike brands were flourishing. Southern Cross was one of the Australian brands that quickly jumped on the BMX wagon. In 1982 they had 6 BMX models - the crossover 26" ATC, X24, 20" Loose Goose, 20" STD BMX (not shown), 16" and 12" Mini BMX (not shown). All were budget bikes made for the recreational rider.
