Torker was created by Johnson Engineering in Fullerton, CA in 1977 for their first BMX bike frame. In 1980 Bob Haro was one of Torkers team riders. In 1982, Torker let go Bob when he introduced his own line of BMX racing pants, though the first Haro bikes were made by Torker. In 1994 Torker went bankrup and Seattle Bike Supply purchased the name. Since then many bikes have been produced with the Torker brand.
